Today was Toots' introduction to her new school. And to their cafeteria, with hot pancakes, sausages and mountains of fresh fruit encouraged after the usual welcome/admin chat. Totally stuffed we managed to locate the Kindergarten Science and Art rooms to deposit some of her supplies, then found her classroom where she met her new teacher, Mrs Cowan. We also discovered that the classroom teaching assistant has just moved from Aberdeen, though is Serbian by birth, and misses it terribly. So we had a nice wee time comparing the beautiful, wet, green Scotland to the hot, dry, dusty Midland. Think this is the first 'Aberdonian' I've come across Stateside.
Now, just two more weeks and I have Tiger's 'welcome to the school breakfast'. It's a hard life.
